About us
Nice to meet you, we are Zkruhu
The Zkruhu initiative originated in 2010 by the idea of our founder, tattoo artist and designer Ondra Konupčík, known as Ondrash.
In cooperation with several other artists, we organized a first tattoo happening in the same year and donated the proceeds from the auction of tattoo motifs to charity. The happening has become an annual tradition that allows us to support individuals, families and organizations and thus improve their everyday lives.
In 2020, we confirmed our expanding activities by establishing an endowment fund, and we are gradually adding other charitable projects and collaborations to the original tattoo happening.
Why the name Zkruhu?
Our name is based on the most perfect shape on Earth, a circle (in Czech „kruh“) that is the central motif of our initiative. We perceive it as a closed and harmonous whole, a symbol of protection, like a lifebelt or a circle of loved ones or circle of people with the same destiny and fate.
